Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player in his part of the Latin mainstream. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the winner of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Favorite Song in 2017. The singer released his first long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. The album reached number 8 within the Top Latin Albums Chart. Vaina Loca was one of the Top Five hit for Ozuna as well as him the year following. He worked together with Noriel on Mala Influencia in 2020 and in the year following, he released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. Then, in 2021 the singer sang a duet 2021 along with TINI for her smash hit Maldita Foto. In 2023, he appeared on 2000, featuring the hit single La Bachata. Turizo is a renowned musician, born into a musical family. Both his parents also played the guitar. In his interviews, Turizo has stated that music is a must. He began playing the saxophone, guitar, Ukulele, and piano while when he was a child. Though his original career plan was that of a veterinarian for animals, his brother Julian convinced him to try studying singing with an instructor in Cuban. The lessons revolutionized his entire life.
